Ariel Tram Construction

The noise that woke me up this morning was straight out of Apocalypse Now which would have been perfect had The Ride of the Valkyries been blaring. Tower 2 of the new Ariel Tram being built at Jackson Hole Mountain is the most difficult to work on since there are no roads in close proximity to its base so this K-Max helicopter was used to remove the old tower in pieces and help deliver a crane and the pieces of the new tower to the site. The precision the pilot maneuvered the several thousand pound pieces of steel around trees and Thunder Chair lift was very impressive and at $3,800 per hour, he was definitely earning his pay check.
